a new year's resolution: decluttering

So now the hangover has died down, the Christmas bloat has subsided and we're all back to work, it's time for a spring clean, a new start.

I have three New Year's Resolutions, but I don't feel I can put plans into action until I feel organised in my life. I'm trying to declutter everything in my life right now, as I can't be in a chic mindset if I'm in a mess. When you're constantly on-the-go it's easy to let things build up, and I must admit when I get home from a long haul flight the last thing I want to do is clear out all my bags, as most things I will simply use on the next trip anyway - most of the time I remove any dirty washing, replenish underwear and a new outfit and I'm good to go for the next trip.

However this means I've got countless scraps of paper in my work handbag (we do pick up a surprising amount of paperwork as cabin crew - updated manual notices, briefing sheets, inflight retail receipts, hotel information sheets etc) and I feel my travel case has become disorganised. So I am going to have a complete overhaul; the new year is a perfect place to start. I've bought a brand new vanity case to organise my toiletries better and plan to post soon about packing the perfect case so everything is accessible, and easy to pack and unpack in a hurry (perfect for frequent fliers or fellow cabin crew). Of course this will be a new learning experience for me too, and I'd love to hear of any top tips from you.
